HOLLYWOOD FILMING IN EASTERN EUROPE AND BEYOND
Since 1989 the East European Film Office has established itself as an important link between Hollywood and the fast-growing, fast-moving film business of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, and Romania. Founded by Pavel Cerny, the East European Film Office is an official US agent of the Barrandov Film Studios in Prague--one of the largest and busiest in Europe. Other quality producers and production companies in Eastern Europe catering to business from the United States are also represented.
The East European Film Office functions as a vital and valuable intermediary in making sure that a production experience in Prague, Budapest, Moscow, or Kiev goes smoothly and successfully. Working with the East European Film Office from day one can make all the difference between a huge success and an unnecessary mess. Many American production companies have found that the East European Film Office is an unparalleled resource in maneuvering easily past the occasionally complicated tangle of cultural and legal obstacles.
East European Film Office can provide reputable US companies with free script breakdown, budget, and even location scouting trips.
With its scenic and varied locations, film professionals with unparalleled expertise in the region, and reasonable costs, the Czech Republic and Hungary have long been a magnet for a large number of American film and television productions. Lately, Bucharest, Kiev, and Moscow became a low cost alternative for filming in Eastern Europe. With a comprehensive library of Czech, Hungarian, Russian, Ukrainian, and Romanian location photos and decades of experience in organizing location scouts in the region, the East European Film Office has built the reputation of being able to find the one perfect location that meets every need of an American production.
And now, based on the East European Film Office’s track record of success, we have signed agreements to represent Utopia Films – the leading choice for production services in Brazil and Venezuela. With this agreement, we are able to facilitate film productions in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Caracas, the Amazon jungle and elsewhere in Latin America.
